One of the last 3 surviving Raegis-class Warships of the Old Empire, among the HMS Arcturus (in Active Service of House Ghalamander) and the HMS Solomon(Now an Imperial Museum). In Active Service of House Aereanis' Phoenix Legion, 105th Imperial Fleet (Battle Group 75).
After the Superdestroyer HMS Kraken was destroyed and unable to stop the Zidrii Invasion, the Empire issued the order to abandon the Valorian System and the destruction of the TanHauser Stargate.
When The Aereanis heir refused to leave the system, The Gilgamesh became the Flagship of the TannHauser Gate's Deffense Fleet at the Eufrates Sector and prepares for the last stand against The Zidrii Armada.
