Originally a KY Torus-class light freigther 117137 ZED, The Tequila Sunrise is the ship of Captain Bryce Pike, famous smugler, pirate, gambler (and full time Drunk)
This model is famous for being the cause that SIRIUS Engineering Corporation bankrupted in 3254 because of the horrible design and poor quality control of it's construction. The Tequila Sunrise might as well be the last of the TORUS-class in existance, because of the high rate of spontaneous explosion of it's reactors (It's been said as a joke that the autodestruction system is activated every time you turn on the ignition key).
It posses bad maneaubirability in space and worst inside an atmosphere, however, with Capt. Pike at the helm, it has outrun and outmanouever enemy ships; not because of it's speed, armament or defenses (that are almost non-existant) but because of the wits of it's captain when he is completly drunk (when he is sober he is not the smartest donkey in the system).

Because of it's multiple owners for the last 56 standard years, there is almost nothing from the original frame of the ship, or as Capt. Pike always says:" The SUNRISE has been modified...HIC! repeatedly modified... Heavily modified...illegaly modified...(BURP!). That's why it might have an ACE or two under the sleve when things get tough...
