The Apocalypse-class superdestroyer HMS RAGNAROK SCNV 106 at the Battle of the Argentine Moons, where Supreme Bashar Primus General Aurelius Abaddon implemented the Scorched Earth policy as a tactic which involved destroying anything that might be useful to the enemy while withdrawing from the system. It was a military strategy where all of the assets that are used or can be used by the Lyshaan rebelion were targeted, such as food sources, transportation, communications, industrial resources, space port, satelites and even the people in the planet, leaving the Argentine Moons completly inhabitable. To conmemorate the victory against the Lyshaan Rebelion, Abaddon "the Destroyer" ordered a 32 ft. tall Sculpture made of the Black glass that now covers 89% of the planets surface.
The strategy of destroying the food supply of the civilian population in an area of conflict has been banned since the days of the Old Empire under Article 54 of Protocol I of the 566 BGE Genesis Conventions. Despite being prohibited, it is still a common imperial military practice.
